Ask people about Rishikesh and you'll hear about the ghats, the cafés, the rafting and the yoga. All true. But drive up about 18 km and the mood shifts completely. You're on a forested ridge looking down over the Ganga valley, and the loudest thing around is usually a bird.
That's Narendra Nagar.
A small town with a royal past
Narendra Nagar was once the capital chosen by the king of Tehri Garhwal, which is where the town gets its name. Today it's better known for something else: it's home to some of India's best-known wellness retreats. Ananda in the Himalayas is about 5 km away, and The Westin resort is right next door.
That neighbourhood says a lot. Places that build serious wellness resorts tend to pick their locations very carefully.
Easier to reach than you'd think
This is the part that surprises people. Per the developer's published distances:
- Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport is about 25 km — roughly a half-hour drive
- Rishikesh town is about 18 km, and Triveni Ghat about 20 km
- AIIMS Rishikesh is about 24 km, which matters more than people admit when choosing a second home
- Delhi is around 200 km by road
So a Friday-evening flight and you're on your deck by dinner. That changes how often you'll actually use the place — and that's the whole point of a second home.
What Terra Grande is building there
Terra Grande Rishikesh Hills, from Eldeco's vacation-home arm, is a small estate of just 30 villas, planned at three per acre and sitting at about 4,000 ft. There are four villa types: the 5 BHK Sienna, and the 4 BHK Verde, Rossa and Rossa 2.
Every villa comes with a private pool, an indoor fireplace, an attic, dual servant quarters, a kitchen garden, a large deck and a personal lift. Verde and Rossa also get outdoor fireplace and barbecue spaces. Up the ridge there's a clubhouse with an infinity pool, plus yoga, meditation and stargazing decks.
The project is registered with Uttarakhand RERA as UKREP04240000553, and the developer's site lists prices starting at ₹19 Cr*.
Who it suits
Honestly? People who want a retreat rather than a party house. Families who'd use it across seasons. And anyone who likes the idea of Terra Grande handling lease and property management when they're not around.
And if you came here looking for Haridwar specifically: Eldeco doesn't have a project in Haridwar itself, but Narendra Nagar is within easy reach of it. Ask us and we'll map the drive for you.
